Wet sand making is a manufactured sand production process that uses water as the core medium. It primarily uses equipment such as sand washing machines to wash and remove impurities from crushed stone, ultimately producing finished sand that meets construction standards. This process is typically suitable for rainy, water-rich areas in the south, and for sand-making scenarios where the raw materials have high mud content and organic impurities. Compared to dry sand making, wet sand making replaces the dust collection of dry methods with water washing, solving the dust problem at its source and significantly improving the cleanliness of the finished sand.

1. Clean Finished Sand Surface: The water washing process effectively removes mud and impurities, resulting in clean and aesthetically pleasing sand particles that meet the high-standard aggregate quality requirements of construction projects.
 
2. Less Dust Pollution: Water acts as a dust-suppressing medium during production, significantly reducing dust emissions during crushing and screening, improving the working environment, and demonstrating superior environmental performance.
 
3. Adaptable to high-mud content raw materials: It can efficiently process stones with high mud content, ensuring stable quality of finished sand, and is particularly suitable for mining areas in southern regions with heavy rainfall and severe weathering.
 
4. Mature and reliable technology: Widely used in large-scale hydropower and municipal projects, with well-developed supporting technologies. More efficient resource utilization can be achieved through stone powder recovery and wastewater treatment systems.
 
II. Wet Sand Making Process Flow
 
The wet sand making process mainly consists of three core stages: raw material pretreatment, crushing and sand making, and washing and grading.
 
1. Raw material pretreatment: After mining, the stone is fed into a jaw crusher via a vibrating feeder for coarse crushing, breaking the raw material into aggregates with a particle size of less than 400mm. Subsequently, it is screened by a vibrating screen to separate oversized materials, which are returned to the crusher for further crushing. Qualified aggregates enter the next stage.
 
2. Medium and Fine Crushing and Sand Making: The coarsely crushed aggregate is fed into an impact crusher or cone crusher for further crushing to a particle size of less than 55mm. It is then conveyed by a belt conveyor to an impact crusher, where it is processed into manufactured sand through a "stone-on-stone" or "stone-on-iron" method. After screening by a vibrating screen, the unqualified coarse sand is returned to the crusher for re-crushing, forming a closed-loop cycle.
 
3. Washing, Grading, and Finished Product Processing: The mixture after sand making enters a bucket wheel or spiral sand washer, where mud and powder impurities are washed away under the action of water flow. Simultaneously, particle size is graded by a hydrocyclone to ensure that the fineness modulus of the finished sand meets engineering requirements. The washed wet sand is dewatered by a dewatering screen and then transported to a finished product stockpile for storage. The wastewater generated from sand washing is treated through a sedimentation tank and a filter press, achieving water resource recycling and sludge solidification and recovery.
