Process Flow and System Composition of Sand Making Production Line

Sand making  production line, also known as machine-made sand production line, is a special production line for producing sand and stone for construction. It consists of crushing/sand making equipment, screening and conveying equipment, etc., and is suitable for nearly 300 kinds of materials such as limestone, river pebbles, granite, etc.
 
With the booming construction of infrastructure such as buildings and roads, the demand for sand and gravel aggregates is increasing day by day, and the importance of sand production line is becoming more and more prominent. The following will introduce the work flow of sand production line and the functions of each system in detail.
Process flow and system composition of stone sand production line
 
1. Raw material storage
 
The large stones are first transported to the warehouse for storage, which is the starting point of the entire sand making process. The existence of the warehouse can ensure the continuity of production and avoid production interruption due to insufficient raw material supply.
 
2. Feeding link
 
The feeder plays the role of "grazing officer" in the sand production line. It evenly feeds the large stones in the warehouse into the subsequent crushing equipment. Among them, the vibrating feeder is a more commonly used equipment. It can withstand the impact of falling large pieces of material and has a large feeding capacity. It can feed block and granular materials from the storage bin to the receiving device evenly, regularly and continuously, preventing the receiving device from freezing due to uneven feeding and extending the service life of the equipment. In addition, there are other types of feeding equipment to choose from to meet different production needs.
 
3. Primary coarse crushing
 
After uniform feeding by the feeder, the stone enters the jaw crusher for primary coarse crushing. The jaw crusher is the main force in the coarse crushing link. It has the characteristics of large crushing ratio and high efficiency. It can initially crush large pieces of stone into smaller pieces, preparing for the subsequent medium and fine crushing process.
 
4. Secondary medium and fine crushing
 
The stones after coarse crushing are sent to the impact crusher or cone crusher by the belt conveyor for secondary medium and fine crushing. The impact crusher is suitable for crushing medium-hard materials, and the crushed products have uniform particle size and good shape; the cone crusher is more suitable for processing materials with higher hardness, and has the advantages of large crushing force, high efficiency and low energy consumption. These two crushers can be selected according to the nature of the raw materials and production requirements to further crush the stones into smaller particles.
 
5. Three-stage sand making and screening
 
The medium and fine crushed materials are transported to the impact sand making machine for three-stage sand making. The impact sand making machine throws the materials through the high-speed rotating impeller, causing them to collide and rub with the surrounding materials or lining plates, thereby achieving further crushing and shaping of the materials, and producing machine-made sand that meets the particle size requirements. Subsequently, the machine-made sand enters the vibrating screen for screening. The vibrating screen can separate machine-made sand of different particle sizes. The materials that do not meet the particle size requirements will be returned to the sand making machine for reprocessing, forming a closed-loop cycle to ensure the uniformity and consistency of the product particle size.
 
6. Sand washing link
 
If the machine-made sand after screening has strict requirements on the powder content, it needs to enter the sand washing machine for cleaning and impurity removal. Sand washing machine can remove impurities such as soil and dust on the surface of machine-made sand, improve the quality and purity of machine-made sand, and make the various indicators of machine-made sand more in line with the standards of construction sand.
 
7. Conveying finished products
 
The machine-made sand after sand washing is transported to the finished product pile by the conveyor, waiting for subsequent use or sales. The function of the conveyor is to efficiently and stably transport the machine-made sand to the designated location to ensure the smooth progress of the production process.

Functions of each system of the sand making production line
 
1. Feeding system
 
The core task of the feeding system is to feed raw materials to each section of the crusher equipment and the screening machine to ensure the stable supply of raw materials for the entire production line. In addition to the common vibrating feeder, other types of feeding equipment, such as plate feeders, belt feeders, etc., can also be selected according to different production conditions to meet different feeding needs.
 
2. Crushing and sand making system
 
The crushing and sand making system is the key to the whole set of equipment. It is like the "heart" of the production line, responsible for crushing various ore raw materials into finished products of the required particle size. A production line usually consists of multiple crushers and sand making machines. These equipments have different mechanical properties. They work together to complete the crushing and sand making of stones. Different types of crushers and sand making machines have differences in crushing principles, applicable materials, production capacity, etc., so they need to be reasonably configured according to factors such as the nature of the raw materials, production scale and product requirements to achieve the best production effect.
 
3. Screening and conveying system
 
The main function of the screening and conveying system is to screen the treated sand through the screening machinery, classify the machine-made sand of different particle sizes, and transport the classified machine-made sand to their respective sites. In this process, circular vibrating screens or other screening machines are generally used for screening. These screening equipments have the characteristics of high screening efficiency and high precision, and can accurately classify the machine-made sand according to the particle size. At the same time, the conveyor is responsible for transporting the screened machine-made sand to the finished material pile or other designated locations to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the production process.
 
In summary, the sand making production line can efficiently and stably produce machine-made sand that meets the construction sand standards through a reasonable work process and the coordinated cooperation of various systems. In actual production, the equipment configuration and process flow of the production line can be appropriately adjusted according to specific production needs and raw material characteristics to achieve optimal production efficiency.
