Iron ore is a mineral rich in iron. Common types include magnetite, hematite, limonite, and siderite. These ores are important raw materials for steel production. Crushing is a key step in iron ore beneficiation, and an entire crushing production line is required for this process. Today, I will introduce the process flow of a 600-ton-per-hour iron ore crushing line.

 

1. Feeding and Pre-Screening

 

Iron ore is evenly conveyed to the feed hopper via a vibrating feeder. It is then pre-screened by a 2YK1860 vibrating screen to remove oversized and undersized particles, reducing the load on subsequent equipment.

 

2. Multi-Stage Crushing

 

Coarse Crushing: A JC140 jaw crusher is used for primary crushing of the ore.

 

Secondary and Fine Crushing: A GPY500S single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and an HPY700 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher are used for further crushing to produce smaller particles.

 

3. Screening and Recycling

 

The crushed material is screened by a 2YKR3280 circular vibrating screen for particle size classification. Substandard particles are returned to the cone crusher for further processing, while those that meet the requirements proceed to the next process.

 

4. Ore Beneficiation and Finished Product Processing

 

Qualified iron powder is removed from impurities by a magnetic separator and then processed in a dryer to produce iron concentrate. This concentrate is then transported and stored via conveying equipment (such as a belt conveyor).
