Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher for Processing Granite
author:dahua2 time:2026-07-31
Granite is hard and highly abrasive, resulting in poor aggregate shape and high loss in conventional crushing equipment. This series of vertical shaft impact crushers is specifically designed for hard rocks such as granite and basalt. It employs a dual-mode centrifugal impact crushing process (stone-on-stone/stone-on-iron), completing granite fine crushing, sand making, and aggregate shaping in one stop. It is widely used in high-speed rail, highway, water conservancy, and high-grade concrete aggregate production.

I. Granite-Specific Crushing Principle
The equipment features a top-diverted feed. The material enters the high-speed impeller, accelerates, and then impacts the granite lining inside the chamber at high speed, achieving crushing. The crushed particles are repeatedly rubbed and polished within the vortex chamber, automatically eliminating sharp edges. For granite processing, the stone-on-stone mode is prioritized, where the materials collide with each other, significantly reducing wear on wear-resistant parts and lowering long-term consumable costs. The stone-on-iron mode can be switched on as needed to increase overall capacity and adapt to different production demands.
II. Advantages of Processing Granite
1. Standard Particle Shape: Cubic aggregate accounts for over 90%, and flaky/needle-shaped aggregate ≤5%, meeting the stringent aggregate requirements of high-end projects;
2. Flexible Grading: 0-5mm high-quality sand and 5-20mm crushed stone can be freely mixed, with stable and controllable fineness modulus;
3. Reliable Strength: Does not damage the original structure of granite, resulting in low aggregate crushing value and wear and erosion resistance;
4. Clean and Impurity-Free: No metal debris in stone-on-stone processing, finished product meets Class I construction sand standards.

III. Core Equipment Highlights
Upgraded Wear-Resistant Parts: Impeller and throwing head are made of high-chromium composite material, suitable for the highly abrasive conditions of granite;
Integrated Function: Crushing, sand making, and shaping are combined into one, simplifying the entire granite production line;
Environmentally Friendly and Low-Energy Consumption: Fully sealed chamber, low vibration and low noise, with dust removal system meeting environmental protection requirements;
Convenient Operation and Maintenance: Hydraulic opening, thin oil lubrication system, easy replacement of wearing parts, reducing downtime.
Applicable raw materials and scenarios: Suitable for extra-hard stone materials such as granite, basalt, and river pebbles; serves large-scale sand and gravel mines, commercial mixing plants, and road and bridge infrastructure projects; can also process granite tailings to achieve solid waste recycling.
